Perfect solutions to complex issues are rarely discovered. What we look for are reasonable answers. Professional trainers have always recognized that the real value of training is when new knowledge and skills are applied for better job performance. They have recognized the value of well-structured on-the-job training. They have worked to identify which aspects of training can be mastered through self-instruction (new knowledge) and which aspects require practice and coaching (application of new knowledge and skills).
The charter for the HCMA is to provide training and development resources for marketing and communication professionals. To meet this challenge, the HCMA curriculum designers have developed customized, competency-base. We now have access to new knowledge and skills in a variety of formats to meet our individual needs.
